Interactive programs offer opportunities for sponsorship, mentoring and teaching:

Stock Market Simulation. Middle school students learn the basics of the free enterprise system and apply economic concepts through interactive programs. They learn about the economic consequences of life and marketplace decisions. Educators gain classroom resource materials and techniques to teach economic concepts as they apply to reality-based situations.

Mini-Business World. Students experience fast-track entrepreneurship. Using creative thinking and computer modeling, they create, start and run a manufacturing business – in two days. Local business people are business advisors, career mentors and topic speakers.

Starting Your Own Business Class. Through this semester-long class, working professionals and educators team to help students create comprehensive business plans and compete for recognition. Volunteer professionals review business plans and teach class segments, while educators guide students through the business development process.

School Makes A Difference. Eighth grade students listen to business people discuss their career paths and choices. Students discover the value of career planning and continuing education. Business people reconnect with youth and needs of future workforces.

Student Business Tours. Tenth grade students tour local businesses. They observe the work environment and interact with employees about the skills and knowledge needed for success. It’s an opportunity for exposure to more career opportunities and to the value of cooperation in a work setting.

Recognition Luncheon. Students reflect on their experiences learning about the free enterprise system. Recognized entrepreneurs and business leaders share insights about building and growing businesses. It is celebration of learning among students, educators and community members.
